    Tradeshift Release Notes August 2023



    Users app


    Functional Improvement


    A new Document Auditor role has been introduced. The role grants read-only access to all documents in the branch. The role could be granted to a user via Users app or an API integration. 


    Many customers use the Document Access Control feature in order to enforce the ‘need to know’ principle: only users, involved in processing a document, are granted access to the document. At the same time there are “internal support” and “auditing” use cases, when a user should see all the documents but should not be able to change it (e.g. flip Purchase Orders to Invoices). 

    Dashboard

    Functional Improvement


    The Documents Widget on Tradeshift Dashboard now groups invoices into only two simplified categories based on payment status: Paid and Unpaid. 


    Sellers can now view their invoice payment status at a glance.

    For a detailed view of the documents within each category, click on the category name - this will take you to an already filtered Document Manager view to browse through your documents, based on the filter you selected in the Document widget.

    Bulk update

    Functional improvement


    Added file size restriction for Bulk update feature of 15.000 lines. 

    Fixed a performance issue where processing of smaller files was blocked by large files.



    Network

    Functional improvement


    When a company receives a connection request through the Tradeshift Network, they can view the sending’s company email address in Company Profile, under the Team card.


    By displaying the email address of the company initiating the connection request, users now have a contact to reach out to enquire about pre-existing business relationships.


    Content Management

    We've made a significant enhancement to the product count display in the Seller Marketplace Manager, Buyer Marketplace Manager, and Product Enrichment apps. Previously, a static count of 10,000 products was shown, but now we provide an accurate and up-to-date count of the products available.


    This update has been implemented to offer enhanced transparency and clarity during user interactions with the UI. It's important to note that while the displayed count has changed, the default 10,000 products loaded into the UI remain unchanged. This modification aims to empower users with precise information, ensuring a more informed experience.

    Shop Home Page layout has been enhanced in order to deliver a more intuitive and informative user experience. The layout has undergone a comprehensive visual improvement, meticulously designed to offer a clearer overview of its distinct sections.


    In the previous design, all sections were housed within a single frame, potentially causing visual congestion and making it harder to distinguish between different areas. In response, we have restructured the layout to visually segregate each section, creating a more organized presentation. To further aid comprehension, each section has been enriched with new icons and more explicit titles. This thoughtful overhaul has a singular goal: to ensure that the home page presents relevant information in a format that is effortlessly consumable by users.

    New Functionality 


    Now, both sellers and buyers, whether they are marketplace operators or individual buyers, will receive timely notifications as offers approach their expiration and upon expiration itself. The default timer for these notifications is set at 14 days. Additionally, an upcoming API will allow users to customize this default timer, offering flexibility to match unique needs. It's important to note that this feature applies exclusively to newly created offers starting from its release date, benefiting users in their ongoing activities. Furthermore, offers with an end date shorter than 14 days (or the customized timer) will not trigger notifications.


    This feature has been thoughtfully crafted to streamline Offer management, introducing a user-friendly way to handle expiring offers. By alerting users about offers that are nearing expiration, the feature facilitates prompt renegotiation if required. Notably, expired offers will automatically be removed from the Marketplace, preventing products from being seen by End users thus not generating transactions. The feature is pivotal in optimizing content management, ensuring users can efficiently navigate and maximize their offerings.

    Users now have the ability to expand and collapse Shop facet (filter) sections within our platform. By default, these sections are expanded, providing users with a comprehensive view of available options.


    We understand that not all information is equally relevant to every user. With this update, we're empowering users to tailor their shop exploration by easily expanding or collapsing facet sections. This enhancement is designed to help users navigate the shop more efficiently, allowing them to focus on the details that truly matter to them

    The Commodity Tree filter has been enhanced to provide a more refined browsing experience in our Shop section . Now, the filter will only display the first 5 entries. To explore further, users can simply click the "Show more" button, which expands the section to reveal all entries.


    Recognizing that each user's preferences differ, we're committed to offering personalized interactions. This update empowers users to curate their shop exploration by granting them control over the information they engage with. By presenting a condensed view initially and allowing users to expand the section at will, we ensure that users can focus on the precise information that aligns with their specific needs.

    In Buyer Marketplace Manager alongside the Product Category Name, we now also display the Category Code. This addition provides a comprehensive view of product categories, enriching the user's experience.


    Acknowledging that some content managers often work more fluently with codes than category names, this feature is tailor-made to simplify their tasks. By presenting the Product Category Code alongside the Category Name, we enable content managers to efficiently assess incoming offers. This empowers them to promptly identify any inconsistencies with their internal processes and procedures, ensuring a streamlined workflow

    Users can now effortlessly spot products containing Variants or featuring Tiered/Volume Pricing right within their Basket. This visibility is consistent with how these products are presented in the Shop Results Page, distinguished by a distinctive orange banner.


    The essence of this feature lies in providing users with pertinent information irrespective of their location within the Shop. By displaying the same product identification style as seen in the Shop Results Page, users can easily recognize products with Variants or Tiered/Volume Pricing in their Basket. This unification aims to eliminate the need for users to hunt for specific information, placing all essential details at their fingertips.

    We've enhanced the way users interact with product variations. In a significant update, we've replaced the existing aside component with a streamlined drop-down menu. Now, selecting different variations of the same product is more intuitive and accessible directly from the Variant Section on the Product Details Page.


    The shift from an aside component to a direct drop-down approach was prompted by the need for clarity and seamlessness. Previously, clicking on a Variant Attribute component triggered an aside to open, presenting various options. However, this approach led to a suboptimal user experience, contrasting with industry standards. By embracing a drop-down menu similar to how major marketplaces operate, we're ensuring a smoother and more familiar experience for our users
